B1B2 Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026 (first effective October 13, 2026 · changes: October 14, added building floor sharing (2-5) and usage statistics (2-6) · October 22, diagnostic logs included in research participation (2-2) · October 23, building floor sharing on by default (2-5) · October 28, new contact email address (8))
B1B2 (the "app") remembers which floor you parked on. The developer of the app (the "developer") follows the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, and this policy explains what information the app keeps, where, and when it is deleted. This is a translation of the Korean policy; if they differ, the Korean version prevails.
Summary
- Your parking records and location are processed only on this device. The app never sends latitude or longitude to the developer's server.
- The only things that reach the server are the optional programs you turn on (research data, including diagnostic logs), building floor information you can turn off (building number, floor and pressure difference — not linked to who sent it), feedback you send, and anonymous usage statistics you can turn off (daily counts with no device ID).
- There is no account, and the app does not ask for your name or phone number. It uses no advertising tools or third-party analytics tools, and it never sells or hands over your information.
1. Information processed only on this device
The following stays on this device and is not sent to the developer (unless you turn on an optional program in section 2).
- Parking records: parking time, floor, parking location (latitude and longitude), place names you typed, building name, departure time, and the air pressure difference from the entrance to where you parked. Kept until you delete them.
- Automatic sensor records: a few minutes of air pressure, motion, activity (driving or walking) and location around the time you drive into a parking garage. Used to work out the floor and deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Diagnostic logs: when the app was awake, detection stages, sensor sample counts, location accuracy and speed (no coordinates), battery level, and the type and name of connected audio devices (such as car Bluetooth). Used to check that detection works and deleted automatically after 30 days.
This information is deleted when you delete the app. You can also delete it at any time in Settings (정보·설정) → Delete all parking records (주차 기록 모두 지우기). The app is in Korean for now, so menu names are given in both languages.
2. Information sent to the server
2-1. Send research data (optional, off by default)
Sent only if you agree, to improve and verify the rules that work out your parking floor.
- What is sent: a few minutes of sensor records around entering a parking garage (air pressure, motion, activity, altitude change); instead of your location, the distance from the first point of that record (east, north, up in meters) with accuracy, speed and heading; the app's floor decision and its evidence; the floor you confirmed or corrected; device model; iOS and app versions; the record's start time (to the minute); and a random install ID created on the device.
- What is not sent: latitude and longitude, addresses, place names, Bluetooth or car device names, your name or contact details.
- Transfer: only over Wi-Fi.
- Retention: deleted automatically 30 days after receipt. If you turn participation off, all data from this device on the server is deleted right away (as soon as the device is online).
2-2. Diagnostic logs (included in research participation)
To improve detection, diagnostic logs (section 1) recorded after you turn on research participation are sent with it. Audio device names are replaced with "car" or "other", and device uptime is replaced with elapsed time. The logs contain no coordinates. Retention and deletion are the same as in 2-1. Devices that joined before October 22, 2026 keep the choice made then (diagnostic logs are not sent unless that option was turned on).
2-3. Send feedback (only when you send it)
- What is sent: the category you choose, what you write, a contact address if you add one, app and iOS versions, and device model. If you choose, a summary of your latest parking is included (floor, confidence, parking time to the minute, detection mode) — no location or place names.
- No install ID is included. Your contact address is used only to reply.
- Retention: deleted automatically one year after receipt. To have it deleted sooner, contact us (section 8). Feedback is anonymous, so please tell us the date and content of what you sent so we can find it.
2-4. Finding the building name
To show the name of the building you parked in, the app sends only the parcel number of the parking location (district and lot number) to the developer's server — no latitude, longitude or install ID. The server looks up a summary of that parcel's building register (building name, number of floors, parking spaces) from Korea's public data portal and stores it by parcel. This is public information, and the server does not record who asked. The response also includes a summary of that building's floor structure collected under 2-5 (median pressure difference per floor), and the floor is worked out on this device.
2-5. Building floor sharing (anonymous, on by default — turn off in Settings)
So that someone visiting a building for the first time can still get the right floor, users build each building's floor table together. Only information that cannot be traced to the sender is sent, so this is on by default, and the app says so when you first set it up (the last setup screen).
- What is sent: the parcel number of the building, the floor you parked on, the air pressure difference from the entrance to where you parked and the number of ramps (with each ramp's pressure difference), whether you confirmed the floor or the app worked it out, the app version, and the month you parked.
- What is not sent: latitude and longitude, install ID, the date and time you parked, place names, device or car information.
- When: when you finish your next parking, the previous one is sent. If you correct the floor of an older record, the corrected floor is sent too.
- Use: when the floor is uncertain in that building, the app works it out again from the floor table (median pressure difference per floor). This happens on each device (2-4).
- Retention: the latest 100 per building and floor are kept, and they are deleted automatically three years after receipt. Only the month of receipt is kept, not the time.
- Because they are received without knowing who sent them, sent items cannot be picked out and deleted. Turning this off in Settings (정보·설정) stops sending from then on, including anything not yet sent.
2-6. Usage statistics (anonymous, on by default — turn off in Settings)
To learn how much and how the app is used and to improve it, the app sends only daily counts, with no device ID.
- What is sent: the device's date, the app and iOS versions, and that day's counts — the days, weeks and months the app was used (once each, the first time), the week and month of install and how many weeks or months since, whether the app was also used in the previous week or month, how many times the app was opened, how many parkings were recorded (by how confident the floor was), how many times a floor was confirmed or corrected, the results of finding the building and of using the building floor table, and the state of location and motion permissions, widgets, automatic detection and the optional programs.
- What is not sent: device ID or install ID, latitude and longitude, place or building names, floors, times, names or contact details.
- The server only adds the counts to totals by date, item and connecting country, and keeps no record per device. The connecting country (the country Cloudflare derives from the IP address) is used only to split the totals by country; IP addresses are not stored. To avoid counting the same batch twice, only a random value made for each batch is kept, for seven days.
- Retention: the totals are deleted automatically after three years.
- Because counts are received without knowing who sent them, they cannot be picked out and deleted. Turning off "Send usage statistics" (사용 통계 보내기) in Settings stops sending from then on, including anything not yet sent.
- The server also counts, by date and country, the requests it receives (building name lookups, building floor information, feedback, research data). These counts are not linked to the sending device either.
3. External services
- Kakao Map (Kakao Local API): to find place names and the parcel number near where you parked, the app sends the latitude and longitude of the parking location to Kakao. The results are used only while they are on screen and are not stored (only the position of the candidate you pick is kept). Information Kakao receives is governed by Kakao's privacy policy.
- Apple: the App Store handles installs and updates; Apple handles crash reports only if you chose to share them with developers.
4. Processing on our behalf and transfer abroad
The developer's server runs on Cloudflare's cloud. Information in section 2 is stored on that server and is therefore transferred abroad.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Recipient | Cloudflare, Inc. — privacy policy |
| Country | United States (set to prefer the Asia-Pacific region, but the storage country cannot be specified) |
| Information | 2-1 research data, 2-2 diagnostic logs, 2-3 feedback, 2-4 parcel numbers, 2-5 building floor information, 2-6 usage statistics |
| When and how | When you turn a program on or send something (usage statistics: while the app is used, unless turned off), over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) |
| Purpose and retention | As stated in section 2 (storage and processing on the server) |
| How to refuse, and the effect | Do not turn on, or turn off, research data (including diagnostic logs); turn off building floor sharing and usage statistics; and do not send feedback. All parking features keep working. Only the building name lookup cannot be turned off; parcel numbers are not linked to your location or to you |
Cloudflare may process connecting IP addresses in transit. The developer turns off request logs on the server and does not store IP addresses.
5. Location information
- The app uses the device's location to notice when you drive and to remember where you parked. It needs "Always" location permission so it can record your parking without you opening the app.
- While you are parked, the app does not keep receiving your location. iOS only tells the app when the car leaves the parking spot (a radius around it, or a significant location change), and the app uses location again from then.
- Location is processed on this device. The app never sends latitude or longitude to the developer's server; research data contains only distances from the first point. Location goes to Kakao only when looking up place names (section 3).
6. Deletion
- On the server, research data and diagnostic logs are deleted automatically after 30 days, feedback after one year, and building floor information and usage statistics totals after three years. When you turn research participation off, that device's server data is deleted right away.
- On the device, automatic sensor records and diagnostic logs are deleted by the app after 30 days. Parking records are deleted when you delete them or delete the app.
- The random install ID used for research participation stays in the device's keychain, so even after reinstalling the app you can delete the server data with the same ID.
7. Your rights
- View, correct and delete parking records: on the app's home screen, in Recent history (최근 기록), and in Settings (정보·설정).
- Stop sending research data or diagnostic logs and delete them from the server: turn them off in Settings (정보·설정). Building floor sharing and usage statistics are also turned off there (items already sent cannot be picked out and deleted, because no one knows who sent them).
- Deleting feedback and any other request: contact us (section 8). We handle requests without delay.
8. Privacy officer
- Name: JongHwan Oh (오종환)
- Email: contact@b1b2park.com
- In the app: Settings (정보·설정) → Send feedback (피드백 보내기)
9. Security measures
- All transfers use an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- The server stores the research deletion token only as a SHA-256 hash, never the original.
- Server request logs are turned off, and only the developer can access the data. The server's admin pages are also locked with a key only the developer knows.
- Data past its retention period is deleted automatically.
10. Children under 14
The app is meant for people who drive and is not directed at children under 14.

12. Website
The website that carries the app introduction, support and this policy (b1b2.fluidaim.workers.dev) uses only one cookie, which remembers the language you chose. It keeps no visit logs and uses no analytics tools. Your country is used only to decide whether to show Korean or English, and is not stored. The site runs on Cloudflare, which may process connecting IP addresses in transit.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date and the changes will be shown on this page and in the app's update notes. Changes that add to the information sent will ask for your consent again before they take effect.
